Once upon a weekend in Gaming

Besides walking to Mariazell, 16 miles away, I didn't leave Gaming this weekend. I wouldn't have thought that would already be wanting to stay back at Gaming already over the weekends when all of Europe is at my door. But I didn't know Gaming. I am quite happy I stayed back, and just enjoyed good secenery and company.
Liz and John and I set out in search of the waterfall, with only a vague idea of its direction. After walking up small mountains, and then crashing down the steep sides of them, we finally found it, about two hours later. (It took us only about a 25 minute walk to get back). But we had a grand old time. So much fun we intended to return later in the evening fortified with semmels, a laptop and scary movie, and sleeping bags. That never happened, but still it is an idea we may yet utilize.
After coming home, we went to the Kartause Keller, and had two things I have been craving since I left home: pizza and ice cream...and a little Bailey's just to top it all off. And, boy oh boy, you can bet it was good.
Ice cold crystal alpine water. Absolutely the most refeshing best tasting. You can keep your Aquafina.
Just hoping there are no mountain goats upstream...

John taking the plunge. I don't know how he managed that, because it isn't as deep as it looks. I am amazed he didn't smash his face.

John, pushing down a tree. Again. I think he sees trees the way a little boy sees a tower of blocks: something made just to be knocked over.

yummy chocolate chip cookies that disappeared soon after their creation. It is a little bit of a challenge cooking in Austria, because they don't have a lot of the same things that we do, for example, brown sugar. Their flour is different. Everything is in a different language. And you have to convert everything to metrics and centigrade. Not that I am complaining!

Andrea making scrumptious Banana bread...what else can you do with 13 bananas?
Liz and self planning our weekend's excursion.

Stay tuned for the French Expidition!
